Just wanted to put this little update out as I had an issue I mentioned in my first post about the Cold Crash Guardian here<\/a>. I had thought that my lid didn’t have a good seal but never ran into that before so I started to really look at all my connections and noticed that on the main valve for the bag, if you open it all the way will create a pathway to the atmosphere and bypass the bag and the check valve. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will notice the hole below, its like a 1\/2 moon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a simple fix and that is don’t open the valve all the way and just close it and stop when its straight out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other than that, once I found out these things are great and I see the bag deflate when I cold crash and happy to know that its just the CO2 from the ferment. I started to use both of my Cold Crash Guardians on both my fermentors now as common practice at my house. 8)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
