Its been a very busy year and haven’t been brewing like I normally do. This one, since its going to rain today, I’m planning on after work. The night before I gathered 7 gallons of water and added in the brewing salts.

@15:05 on June 10 milled the base grains and around 15:13 adding in just the base grain. Ill add the other grains in at the 30 min mark since they are all dark. @15:43 I added in the specialty grains and gave the grain bed a good stir. With about 5 minutes left in the mash I turned the Anvil up to 168F(75.5C ) to mash out. Pulled the grain bag and turned the Anvil up to 212F(100C) at 16:23. After a few and the bag stopped dripping I pulled and placed it at an angle for a little more drain off. @16:54 hit 200F(93.3C) and I pulled a gravity reading of 1.033SG, a little under what I want but may have too much water. I’m going to let it boil for an additional 10 minutes before starting the timer.

@17:08 started the boil but held off for 10 minutes on the timer. Started the timer @17:24 and added in the 60 minute, got the level down a little bit. Added the hops per the schedule. Turned off the boil and took a sample of of 1.035SG which is really low but oh well ill run with it. Wonder if I just pulled a few bad samples not sure. @18:34 wort is down to 103F(34.4C) Ended up pitching the yeast at 16:54 and done cleamup at 19:04. Got wort down to 73F(22.7C) and put in my keezer at 65F(18.3C).

@15:40 on June 26th I transferred over to a keg and took a sample to taste and take a gravity reading. Its been a few weeks so I know its done, I hope. and took a gravity reading of 1.010SG and placed in the refrigerator to carbonate up and chill out.
