Okay its definitely been some time since I have brewed and looked around to see what I had for ingredients and really liked the Marris Otter ale test batch so why not try a Lager with different hops. The only difference is this is a SMASH beer vs the ale had a bunch of different hops in it. I kept this one very simple, take a look here. The night before I gathered and milled the grains and collected water and added in the salts. Setup to start in the morning.

Got up around 05:15 and realized that I started the Anvil too late so went down and pushed the timer to 0 to start heating up the water while I let the dog out.
@5:55 I added in the grains and started the timer. At about 30 minutes into the mash I stopped the pump and gave it a good stir and started the pump again to finish out the mash. At about 55 minutes into the mash I turned the Anvil up to 168F(75.5C) to mash out and pick up a few of the Alpha enzymes into the mix. Kept the % at 65 for a little bit when it hit 155F(68C) I turned the % up to 100 to push to the 168F(75.5C). let the wort drain while turning the Anvil up to 212F(100C) and 100% power to get to that boil. Pulled a wort sample of 1.040SG.

@07:36 the boil started and started to add in my hops, first one at the 60 minute mark. Continued to add per the recipe and added the wort chiller with 15 minutes left rather than the 10. at the end of the boil I shut off the heat and started to chill down. Pulled a wort sample of 1.045SG. @08:44 the wort was down to 94F(34.4C) @08:54 wort was down to 75F(23.8C) and than transferred over to my fermentor and pitched the yeast and quickly tossed into my fermentation chamber at 52F(11.1C) to ferment. Cleaned up all all done by 09:05.
