This is an all new one for me. I do think I would like it so I must give it a shot. So I really didn’t find a lot of data on this do will be going off what I know, or at least hope I know.
I plan on getting 3 gallons of water together, I’m pulling RO water and adding in 1 tsp of Gypsum, brought the water up to about 170 degrees. Also cut up a lemon and added the juice to drop the PH, from what I read that helps with the extraction. Tested PH may have went to far but came in around 3.8, maybe next time use 1/2 a lemon, maybe not, will see how it tastes. I did get some seeds in but I will be transferring to a keg after.
Once I hit 170F I killed the power and started to add the tea. Pulling the most of the labels and than gave up 8) and tossing in the bags. Once the entire box has been added I tossed in the two oz of Mosaic hops. I think all these flavors should play nice together. We will see. 8) Let sit for a few minutes, tasted decent with nice tea flavor and a back drop of Mosaic hops. Did try a small sample and had a nice tea flavor with a hoppy back bone. Will see how it tastes, chilled an all carbonated.
Tossed in an ice bath to cool down to transfer into keg. Just wanted to get before 120F as I’m using a plastic siphon. Transferred into keg, purged with CO2 and placed in my keezer to chill down and carbonate up. Will try this out this weekend.
