The night before I gathered the water and milled the grains and setup the Anvil so after work I can get in a brew day. This is another recipe kit from Beer-Wine hobby I have purchased a few kits as been looking to just brew quickly without putting all the ingredients together and they are down the street.

@15:22 I added in the grains and started the timer. 30 minutes into the mash I stopped the pump and gave it a good stir. @ the end of the mash I turned the Anvil up to 167F(75C) to mash out. After about a few minutes at the 167F(75C) I pulled the grains and started the Anvil to 100% power and 212F(100C). After draining for a while I tilted the basket to drain some more while the wort was heating up. Pulled the grain basket and cleaned and pulled a wort sample of 1.039. After looking at it again it was 1.040 my guess is it cooled off.

@17:16 the boil started and added in the first addition right into the Anvil not a hop spider. Not much adds on this one till the end. with 15 minutes left added in the wort chiller and hooked. Started the cool down right at the end of the boil. Took a gravity reading of 1.043SG. @18:22 wort was down to 147F(63.8C). @18:32 wort was down to 97F(36C). @18:45 was down to 85F(29.4C) and I transferred over to the fermentor and pitched the yeast at 77F(25C) and placed in my keezer at 68F(20C). Cleaned up and all done by 18:57.

@12:19 on August 10th I added in the dry hops. Fermentation was pretty much over and I was away over the weekend. @06:45 on August 18 I started the transfer over to a keg. Took a gravity sample of 1.010SG and came in at 4.33% ABV. Good flavor, can’t wait for cold and carbonated.
