There are two post on this item and you can check out the last one here, which will lead you to the first one. With that out of the way. It was time to move over the two Melomels that I had made into bottles as I need the space 8). Took the gravity reading on both and they both ended up at 1.000 which was surprising and I guess that yeast was really good. With that both of these brews are a little over 13%. The Cranberry/Blueberry Melomel was my favorite and had a nice smooth and easy drinking flavor even at the 13%. The Cherry Melomel had a bread flavor and also a little hazy. Interesting to see and wonder if I’m just picking up on the yeast in suspension still as the Cherry one was a little cloudy and the Cran/Blueberry was really clear as you can see by the photos below. Not a bad experiment and can’t wait to see what everyone things of them next month. More to update.
