UPDATE: Back Yard Yeast Experiment: Brewing the beer

So the beer ended up fermenting rather quickly and actively and down to 1.010SG which give me about a 4.33% beer. Transferred it to a small 1 gallon keg and carbonated up the beer. After carbonation I took a sample after running off a few glasses and it was pretty mercy looking. Taste was very similar to the last frozen yeast experiment, I didn’t get the medicine flavor as from the first brew of the yeast. I think the original had a medicine flavor as the yeast was stressed to ferment the wort as it counts were not good. Now that I has able to prop up a good amount no more medicine flavor but I go get this, I call it old flavor. Its hard for me to put to words but maybe leathery is a way to explain, old leathery smell in a flavor. Now that I’m looking at the pictures as well I’m wondering if it just oxidation. I’m not going to call this a flop but I think I need to work on my yeast growth skills and do more of these small batches.
