UPDATE: James Brown Ale Brew Day 1-7-23

If you haven’t checked out the brew day Click here

Fermentation kicked off rather quick. I’m not sure if it was because of the fact that I used a new tool and pumped some O2 into the wort? Not sure. Either way less than 8 hours from pitching it was going strong. Let it finish out after a week of fermenting. A majority of the fermentation happened in the first few days and then it slowed down. I did put some heat on it to maintain the 65F(~18C) I was going for.

After a week took a gravity sample, well not really, I toss my hydrometer into the beer. Came in at 1.006 SF which give this brew a nice 5.38% ABV. Tossed into my keezer to chill down for a few days before transferring to my keg.

After about 6 days at 38F(~3C) I transferred to my keg and placed in the refrigerator to carbonate up. This one looks amazing. I did pull a sample at the end of the fermentor, so a little cloudy, but very tasty. Can’t wait for this one to be ready.
