Short and sweet: Citra Session Ale review

To start off here is the brew recipe https://www.brewersfriend.com/homebrew/recipe/view/1578665/citra-session-pale-ale and here is the brew session. https://dirtybucketbrewing.com/?p=5229

The beer looks great a dark amber, decent white head and over all almost clear. I have seen clearer and this is a ways into the keg.

Im a big fan of Citra hops and love the nice soft flavor of Citra. Maybe because I tend to make low bitter Citra Sessions, I went into this one with the same thought. It is definitely not a low bitter beer, Where I’m looking for Citra flavor I don’t get it at all. With that said it’s not a bad beer.

When I first drink it’s a malty with a bitter back bone and finishes dry. I’m still learning how to expand on what I’m tasting but that is overall the best way I can explain it. I do enjoy the beer and at 4.33% I can have a few without feeling too tipsy.

overall a 6.5 out of 10 I’d drink it but maybe not brew again.
